It was Hockey Night in Seaforth on Saturday night as the Huron East Centenaires hosted Shelburne at the Seaforth and District Community Centre. The day, however, began much earlier with the retiring of jerseys for Rebecca Kipfer-Pryce and Tanner Steffler, both former Seaforth hockey players who passed away last year. All of the proceeds from Saturday, including the Centenaires’ share of the 50/50 draw were split evenly between causes associated with the two young people. On the ice, the Centenaires came up just short, losing to Shelburne by a score of 6-5 in overtime.
