HOPE IS A PLACE
It's Mental Health Awareness Week May 7-13th and to give it a kick-start Tanner Steffler Foundation is bringing TSN's Award-Winning and Mental Health Advocate MICHAEL LANDSBERG to Huron County on Thursday May 3, 2018 to speak on: #SickNotWeak
- 1 in 5 Canadians experience a mental health or addiction problem in any given year.
- 70% of mental health problems have their onset during childhood or adolescents.
- By the time Canadians reach 40 years of age, 1 in 2 have or have had a mental health problem or illness.
- People with a mental health illness are twice as likely to have a substance use problem compared to the general population.
Let's Talk, Share and Learn so that we can work together to create a more caring and compassionate community in Huron County that is less stigmatizing and gives hope and support to those who are struggling with mental health issues, addictions and illnesses.
